The Fledgling Philanthropist – Perspective

Happy Friday! Skye and myself both hope everyone has had a great week!

These past couple days, the Lord has reminded me about perspective, how we
view things as believers. Being with a two year old for the majority of the week,
my perspective has changed some! I try to see things as lil Skye sees them.
When we do different activities or go out and about, there is constant awe. She’s
fascinated by most things, but mainly trees, birds and airplanes. The same
things I see every single day and don’t look twice. She however is absolutely
enthralled. How different is the perspective of a child?

Just like I desire to view things from her childlike perspective, the Lord desires us to come to Him in the same manner. He says in scripture that only those with
childlike faith will enter into the kingdom of heaven.

“He called a little child to him, and placed the child among them. And
he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little
children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore,
whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the
kingdom of heaven. And whoever welcomes one such child in my
name welcomes me.”

Matthew 18:2-5

As we venture out into our busy, fun-filled weekends, let us challenge ourselves
to view things with our Kingdom eyes. We should try to observe the world
around us as the Lord intended us to and set ourselves before the Lord as that of
a child.

Together in Him,
Your Philanthropy Family
