The Fledgling Philanthropist – Don’t Worry

The Lord is our provision. How easy right? Not.

Obviously, being human, we doubt, we worry, and we lack trust. The Lord has
been teaching me A LOT about his provision lately. Not just in the large things,
but the small things as well. He is trying to teach me to FULLY rely on HIM and
not myself. What a very simple concept. Well for me, easier said than done.

When lil Skye and myself are out and about, doing our everyday activities, there
is never worry, from her about anything. I know, I know, she’s two, so how could
she even know what worry is? She never lacks for a single thing, yet she isn’t
certain where that provision is coming from. She knows if she is thirsty I will
get her water, or if she is hungry I’ll be there to fix her a snack. But she isn’t
concerned with WHERE it comes from. She innately knows her needs will be
met.

Isn’t that what our Heavenly Father requires of us, to look past the worry and
focus on Him? When Jesus was feeding the 5,000 people who had come to
hear Him preach, the disciples were worried there was not enough food to feed
them all. The Lord gave thanks to God and broke the bread and fish. There was
PLENTY. As in there were leftovers. There was ENOUGH. The Lord is enough.

The God of the universe, cares when the sparrow falls, so how much more does
he care about us, the ones he created in His own image? Let us challenge
ourselves to recognize that our Savior is our provision and when we seek Him he
will bless us with all we need and more!

”So do not worry or be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will have
worries and anxieties of its own. Sufficient for each day is its own trouble.”

-Matthew 6:34

Together in Him,
